New to the forum and to the kawi, but here it goes i got the kawi in on a trade rode it for a day and well it was really dirty when i got it, so i pressure washed it all down and let it sit for 2 days while i was working then i got on it Sunday and rode maybe 20 minutes and the temp light was flashing so i stopped and the fan ran for about 3 minutes after i shut it down, then rode back to house and did the same thing. I think i may have pressure washed the mud in the raidiator ( is this possible) or is the thermostat stuck... yes it is full on fluid.:)

Pull the inner fender plastic off so you can get at the rad, and give it a good cleaning. Don't bend the fins with the pressure washer.

02 prairie still overheating

Ok to the front rack and plastic off and cleaned the raidator out (is was real muddy) Put it all back together and drove it around (pretty hard) for 30 minutes and the temp light starting flashing once again. Any ideas, thermostat? don't believe it has a air lock as to the best of my knowledge the system has noot been apart.
If i take the thermostat out and run it for awhile and it does not overheat then i need a new one right? (just a thought)

Did the fan start to run well before the temp light came on? If not, then the sensor may be bad.
