Fuel pump not priming everytime?

I was wondering what might be my issue on my wheeler? Most times it will prime and fire but it seems to be a little more frequent. I can hear the relay kick on under the seat but i dont hear the fuel pump. After a few tries of starting it or cycling the key it will kick on and be fine.

I was wondering where i should start checking?

still having this issue.
sometimes it will die driving it or spudder then stall.
i did the filter mod on the fuel pump of taking out the second screen inside the canister.

sounds like u need to do a search on fuel pump issues or fuel pump install.

I have waterproof fuses on the way and will put them in next weekend. I'm wondering if they are corroded under the fuse box. It's not a constant issue, I can go for days without a problem then it re appears.

Fuel pump is going out worked on one while back and would run good then would pop miss and die then won't start next day it would run for a while,it was the fuel pump

Sounds more like the pump. When a wire or connection starts to corrode and fail, it usually gets a lot worse really fast, until it won't run at all.

Well if It's the pump that's OK. I see you can buy them for under $50.00 now.

UPS man just delivered these. Looks like some Good fuse holders.

all I did was loosened the bolt and flipped the fuse holder over.

well, yes and no.
now the pump primes every time but it will only idle now, if i try and give it gas it stalls?
a couple of times i got it WOT but its stil sputtering and stalling..:(

would this be the fuel pump perhaps?

I think the rest of the harness is fine but I can't say for sure. I did go ride again just now and it ran great? Wheelies on demand, no stalling or hesitation?

gremlins are right! i just dont understand it? i could see the fuel pump going out and maybe overheating issues causing the strange on and off problems i am getting. but when i replaced the fuse holder the problem happened minutes after riding. later that day i rode it for a longer time period and had zero issues?

Rode it around the yard a few times since, no issues?? Runs normal.
Wish I knew how to diagnose this.

Tried to use the quad again...gremlins are back!
Same thing, idle's but if you give it some throttle it misses and back fires. I did take the second filter screen out of the fuel pump housing a while again because it got clogged. So that issue is already taken care of.

Prolly a dumb question cause you sound like you have your stuff together, but did you put a secondary filter in down stream of your pump?

Sorry for the late response. I never got an update about the thread.
I will check into the fuel pressure and see if that tells me anything.
Anyone have Amy pics or anything how they did a pressure check?
Or Maybe I'll just do the flow test.

With the flow test you take the line off at the top of the fuel pump, take a length of 1/4" hose, attach one end to the fuel pump and the other end into a bottle. I think its supposed to move 3 oz of fuel every time it primes when you turn the key on. So what I did is take a 20oz bottle and do the test 6 times, which should be 18 oz, or close to the top of the bottle. When I had issues it wasn't nearly that much. Do a search for my thread titled "corvette fuel pump". I will double check my numbers at lunch when I can check my service manual.
